$1,000,000 for Veterans and First Responders!

$1,000,000 for Veterans and First Responders!

October was a busy month for us here at Flags of Valor. We hosted our Inaugural Charity Golf Event and also earned the Veteran-Owned Business Achievement Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Our most rewarding achievement, however, was crossing the $1,000,000 threshold for raising money for veteran and first responder charities.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and so grateful to our supporters for making it possible to reach this enormous milestone.

Some of the Charities We've Helped

Hiring Our Heroes

Hiring Our Heroes is an initiative dedicated to connecting veterans, service members, and military spouses with meaningful employment opportunities. Some find it challenging to find a career that they are qualified for; this initiative helps bridge the gap and aid in the transition from military to civilian life.

Stop Soldier Suicide

Flags of Valor has partnered with Stop Soldier Suicide to change the process of returning to civilian life so that soldiers aren't left to struggle alone. Stop Soldier Suicide works individually with troops, veterans, and military families to streamline the transition and help make sense of the various services, programs, and assistance available.

American Veterans Center

The American Veterans Center organization strives to guard the legacy and honor the sacrifice of America's veterans. American Veterans Center collects first-hand oral accounts of veterans' experiences from the past and present from which future generations can learn.

Join the Salute

DEWALT has partnered with Flags of Valor and Wounded Warrior Project with the Join the Salute campaign to acknowledge and highlight organizations dedicated to supporting our nation's veterans. Our goal is to remember, employ, and empower our heroes -- and we want to bring special attention to organizations who also support this mission.

Boulder Crest Retreat

Boulder Crest Retreat provides retreats for combat veterans and their families -- all at no cost to them. Their mission is to help our veterans heal and learn to manage PTSD and combat-related stress so they may live productive and fulfilling lives. Serving in the military is taxing -- both physically and mentally -- and Boulder Crest Retreat aims to help heal the invisible wounds of war.

PenFed Foundation

The PenFed Foundation exists to help military heroes and their families build a secure financial future. They assist with financial education, credit building, homeownership, and short-term assistance. They also strive to help veterans pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. Having a strong financial background and a place to call home is crucial for the success of any returning veteran. Flags of Valor is proud to support the PenFed Foundation in its mission.
