Nearly twenty years ago, nineteen terrorists hijacked four California-bound commercial airplanes shortly after their departures from airports in Boston, Massachusetts; Newark, New Jersey; and the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
What happened next will forever be a part of the fabric of our country. Today, we remember the lives lost, the heroism demonstrated by our first responders, and the undeniable bond that joins us, as Americans.
Many of us went to war. Some never came home. Others were never the same again.
