Dear Family & Friends,
As a college student on that fateful day 22 years ago, I vividly remember the shock and disbelief that washed over me as I watched the tragic events of 9/11 unfold before my eyes. It was a day that changed the course of history and our lives forever. The pain and loss experienced by the families and friends affected by those terrible events are etched in our collective memory, and we must never forget them.
In the aftermath of 9/11, I made a life-altering decision to join the military and serve again, this time in the Air Force as a Special Operations Pilot. The commitment to protect our nation and ensure the safety and security of our fellow citizens became my mission. It has been an incredible journey, filled with challenges, sacrifices, and moments of profound pride.
Today, as we commemorate the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, it is essential to pause and reflect on the significance of that day. We must honor the memory of the lives lost and the families forever changed by this tragedy. We owe it to them to ensure that the sacrifices made in the wake of 9/11 are never in vain.
Let us also take this moment to express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces and first responder agencies. Their unwavering dedication and sacrifices have kept our nation safe.
