The Pledge of Allegiance - A Patriotic Duty

The Pledge of Allegiance isn't just for children.  It's for all of us.  Despite its short length, it's exponentially greater in meaning.  Every word is purposeful and should inspire a deeper commitment in all of us.

At Flags of Valor, we went to war with our nation's flag proudly displayed on our uniform.  When we volunteered for military service we took an oath to "support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic." Each of us was prepared for that oath, in part, from a life of "pledging allegiance" to our nation's family crest, the American flag.

EVERY weekday at 9am Eastern, we pause and reinforce our commitment to each other by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance LIVE on our social media channels.  Please to join us!

THE PLEDGE

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

THE MEANING

As you recite the pledge of allegiance out loud, consider some of its deeper meaning and images of our country's history of sacrifice for others. Think about the word pledge...a promise to someone or something.  How does allegiance feel?  Does it make you think of loyalty or commitment to something greater? When we say the pledge of allegiance, the flag is more than a symbol.  It's a protective blanket of freedom representing centuries of sacrifices and triumphs along our collective American journey.

Take your time when you say the pledge of allegiance and try to focus on a different word each day. Always remember the good we can do when we work together as one Nation under God. Remember we can be broken but never divided.  Remember the necessity of justice for ALL.

Thank you for supporting our company's mission and our country.  Empowering our veterans.  Made in America. Never stop giving back! This is our pledge. This is our commitment.

  • Joe,
Admire your business! What a show of tenacity to reinvent yourself to survive.

I was wondering if you would like to run a live video of our daughter singing the National Anthem at one of your “Pledge” events.

My four are Scouts and we are always in service in the community.

    Thank you,
    Mary
